Has anyone else been a victim of abusive therapists? I had one last year who said all the abuse in my life was my fault because my personality attracted abuse, and I deserved it for being so stupid to get involved with those people.

That's one of many things he said. And I couldn't leave the office, because the area I was in (Pittsburgh) was you HAD to see both a therapist and doctor. No matter what, even if you didn't need one or the other. It was required. So to continue to get meds, I had to see a therapist. I complained, but nothing happened. And he was the only one who was able to take medicare.

The one before him was bad, too. At a different office. She literally told me in a session that "I'm too ****ed up to be helped." And not one person in these offices believed me when I complained. The response I got was "they're our best therapists. You're just lying to get attention."

Pittsburgh was brutal and almost killed me, literally. I'm still scarred from my time there. I'm just wondering if anyone else encounter abusive therapists.
