I have plenty of stories where angels have touched and saved me. Here is the most recent.....

My friend and I were walking our dogs through the forest and as usually we ended the walk coming out at the gravel pit. There my friend would always throw a ball or stick down a long sand bank. The dogs would run up and down racing each other for the stick for some last minute exercise. We've done the same thing dozens of times.

Yesterday when we got near the top of the sand bank my friend picked up a stick as usual. She swung it back to throw it as I pointed to the side of the bank, and said " Let's go over that way this time." She pulled the stick down and followed a different path.

As we were walking we looked back towards the sand hill with shock and awe. The long gradual hill the dogs had run up and down a zillion times before was gone. Three feet from the edge of where my friend was positioned to throw the stick was now the edge of a sheer drop off. The entire bank had been dug out and the hill was gone. How'd we not notice this from the top?

Had she thrown her stick as per usual both our dogs would have fallen to their likely death before they'd have had a chance to stop.

The sense of an angel in our midst buckled my knees. Why did I suggest we go down the side of the hill for a change? We'd never gone down that side before. She always threw down that same hill. How was it she was able to react so quickly mid throw?

Blessed by an angel. We wer all spared from what might have been. Imagining how different every moment is right now because a horrible tragedy was averted. Imagining how this moment would have felt, what suffering and sorrow would be surrounding me now. Spared by the blessing of an angel. Spared to walk in beauty with my special dog friends. Touched by an angel...

LIfe only brings that which one can handle... the angels carry the rest.
