Don't beat yourself up. It sounds like you are over-stretched and something has to give.

I think nothing of an hour commute but that is average where I used to live. I did longer in fact. But in comparison some people might find that horrific. It is all relative. But the point is you are finding it difficult and there is nothing wrong with that. One option is to move closer; but, I realise that is easier said than done.

I myself looked forward to and made use of that commute before and after my work day. I used the ride in as time to mentally prepare for my day ahead. I would arrive to work with a plan, and most problems pretty wel solved. Likewise, on the ride home I was able to decompress and clear my mind of the day's events. I found when I made long commutes that I didn't take my work or day home with me. I was able to turn what some might find a disadvantage into and advantage.

How might you be able to turn this into an advantage.
