I feel that my counselor cares for me in a therapeutic way. He genuinely, I think, cares how I'm doing physically and emotionally when I meet with him. If I do feel that things are on the verge of being "off" he walks me back to center and helps me to sort things out. Looking at it from that perspective, it's very comforting to know that he does care. I don't think I could work with someone who had no care for me.
Other relationships that I am involved in, in the real world, are with people who mainly care about me if it benefits them. Because I'm realizing that, I really don't have any really trusting personal relationships.
