I've had my mom here for the past couple days. She keeps telling reminiscing stories where she forgets the names of someone, someplace, etc... and she won't just skip over that part of meaningless information and finish the story until I guess what she is trying to say. I can't stand it.

I told her I won't play the guessing game. So now she talks and spends 5 minutes trying to remember the name while I just ignore her banter.

She's 82. Not dimentia or anything like that. Just annoying.
