I wish I had more success with Abilify. For me, it wasn't an absolutely awful medication, but it didn't help me. I hear it works for many though. I had moderate side effects: restlessness (especially in the legs), a tingly feeling in my head that I can't really describe very well. It was activating, rather than sedating, which probably aggravated my anxiety at times. I can see this benefiting some people who feel very slowed down as a result of their depression.

It was supposed to help me with some of the paranoia I was experiencing and some mixed mood symptoms, but I didn't notice anything drastic. Another AP was added, and then my pdoc decided there was no point of remaining on Abilify, since there was no benefit. I did better off of it when we decided on other medications.

One "pro" I noticed with Abilify: no weight gain.
