It was activating, rather than sedating, which probably aggravated my anxiety at times. I can see this benefiting some people who feel very slowed down as a result of their depression.
It was supposed to help me with some of the paranoia I was experiencing and some mixed mood symptoms, but I didn't notice anything drastic. Another AP was added, and then my pdoc decided there was no point of remaining on Abilify, since there was no benefit. I did better off of it when we decided on other medications.
One "pro" I noticed with Abilify: no weight gain.
I hope it works for you. Good luck.

I had similar effects, with the restlessness and tingling. My p-doc said that was akathisia, which is a fairly common side effect of Abilify. Apparently it's more likely to happen with Abilify than other atypical antipsychotics.
