I hate cruelty jokes. I will not listen to them. If someone at my table at dinner, or whatever, starts a joke like that, I object and say, "I don't want to hear it." If they continue, I leave the table and come back later. My family, friends, and boyfriend know I will absolutely not listen to them (or tell t hem). Ditto racist or ethnic jokes. Or disability jokes!!!! The buck stops here -- if I don't listen and don't pass these things on, and other people would do the same, maybe the jokes would become obsolete.
