I think more people than not are just going through self-discovery which isn't "trendy" it's human. I also don't think there aren't more trans people precisely, it's more that it is safer to come out as yourself and/or because people have something to give framework to their experience.

Anywho, you are definitely valid in what you're feeling. I've heard other people describe themselves similarly, so you aren't alone. Agender and androgynous are what come to mind right away. What you end up identifying with or not identifying with can be a journey and is ultimately yours alone. If you ever feel like anyone is trying to push you into thinking one way or another, well... they don't have the right to! And they really just aren't able to know.
Talk to a therapist if possible, and although we are a small bunch here, we're a pretty cool bunch (if I do say so myself). So feel free to ask away or chime in!
