I don't understand: Why do "popular" people (not celebs, but popular people in your life) think they can get away with everything? Why do they feel entitled? (Rhetorical questions.)

One of my co-workers f***ed me over on a workshop that we were running at a conference I went to on Friday and Saturday. Basically: my boss forced me to work with him, I spent 2 weeks preparing workshop materials because he was too lazy to do anything, 5 minutes before the presentation he decides he wants to do it his own way (even tho everyone told him not to), and finally, when it came to presentation time, he did NOT tell me what he was doing or let me talk. Wtf?

It just irritates me that "popular" people think it's okay to screw other people over, and think that they can get away with it. Not this time -- my boss was PISSED, and he contacted the other guy's boss. (And well, let me tell you: my boss is a lazy do-nothing, so for him to actually do something means you did something BAD.)

I'll probably get a lot of flak and people talking behind my back, only because people are more likely to believe a "popular" person. Ridiculous. These are the kinds of things that typically (but fortunately not this time) induce mood swings.
