I am taking Avinza 30mg and 15mg morphine (2) for chronic pain relief. I have been dxed with degenerative facet joint disease of the lumbar spine. I just changed from Subonone. I am finding that the 30mg Avinza and 15mg morphine provides absolutely 0 pain relief. The pain and headaches are waking me up giving me no or 1-2 hrs. of sleep for several days now.

I am curious about others experience with Avinza and how much it take for it to work for them. I did research the med and found out from several sources that the 30mg dose is only meant for opiate naive people. In the past, I took 7.5-10mg of Vicodin 4x/day for over 2.5 years and Methadone for a year. I can say that I am not opiate naive as they do not affect me anymore.

I really need advice and appreciate any input.
