I threw away a box of junk that had been sitting waiting for a new home for two years. It was kind of hard to let go because the stuff was neat and in good shape, but I didn't have a use for it and it didn't have high resale value. Plus, I needed the space to work out. I've found that making convenient space to store hobby equipment/practice my hobbies has been a good motivator for throwing things out this year.
