This thread got me thinking!

As a rule I find communication solely via text for example to be difficult because I need the non verbal cues to 'feel' a person in order to connect fully with them. But interestingly I haven't found that so much of a problem for me on here & it got me wondering why?

One theory I came up with is that maybe on here we're more open? In as much as we are receiving & giving support in areas of our lives that we know we have in common with those reading our posts. Maybe that makes us more likely not to hold back? In real life perhaps there are too many inhibiting factors? I don't know! Food for thought!
