Does anybody here follow an alternative sleep schedule? I'm thinking of trying to adapt to one. I am a total and complete night owl, but I have to get up at 5 for work. I work for two hours, then have a 4 hour break, then work for another 4 hours and get home at 6 pm. I've been trying to sleep at 9 pm so I can wake up at 5 and stay awake all day. The problem is, the second the sun goes down my brain wakes up. I don't like taking sedatives to make myself sleep. I've been reading some articles about sleeping in two cycles and I'm considering getting about 5 hours of sleep at night and then taking a nap between my shifts during the day. Has anyone followed a similar schedule and made it work? I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
