I lost 70 lbs on meds. My main "secret" is Weight Watchers, but I'll give you a tip: snack on veggies at night. Quite often I'll have peas or green beans. If you have a large bowl of veggies, it will fill you up. But I agree with bizi, make sure you are having enough protein and healthy fats, too. If you want something sweet, have an apple or other fruit. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, too.  Good luck!
