Get yourself to do something physical to balance the head and anger. Go rake leaves or make a meal, a casserole or pie or something else "complicated" that will be around for a couple days to remind you.
Make as much "sensual" noise as you can to drown out the head and anger; make things that smell and/or taste good, look at something that looks good (go window shopping at your favorite store?), touch and wear fabrics that feel good, listen to good music.
