I think change and stress, positive or negative can trigger hypomania. Right now I am under a lot of stress from trauma, confusing circumstances, being rejected by my pdoc thus needing to change and other stresses. Instead of falling into a depression I have had more energy, want to socialise more, racing thoughts, sleep issues, agitation and paranoia, along with a great deal of anxiety. My T last week said I was hypomanic. Since then I have begun Abilify and that has calmed things down somewhat. But yes, it is an understandable reaction that you are having. Do you think you need to call you pdoc to get your meds reviewed? If you have had mania before it could spiral into that quickly.
