Mine started when I was in college but didn't get really bad until about 10 years ago. Then I had more traumatic experiences and am still struggling with those. It's really weird how they can pop up weeks months years later. Also mine turned into deep depression as an outlet too. So yeah it's just something I guess you have to learn to manage as Terish says
