Hi - I've been on Citalopram this time around for maybe 3 years. I have PTSD, amongst other things. Am trying to taper off in order to get onto Bupropion (less weight gain, libido issues etc) once I am down to zero:

Over the past few years, my drinking had steadily increased to the point of a bottle of wine most nights and sometimes more. I have recently read that citalopram is implicated in causing alcohol cravings in some people. Also aware it's a common PTSD symptom.

Anyway...am down to about 3mg of Citalopram a day, down from 40. Doing sort of ok in this very low dose, but weirdly, cannot drink at all now. It makes me feel very nauseous and unwell: even half a glass of wine. I should be happy - - I've been so worried about my drinking. Anyone else had this in withdrawal? Does it last?
