Oh...the things DRs can do in Florida.

I forgot to mention this earlier.

I was at CVS yesterday and pdoc called the pharmacy (I recognized his voice) to call in a script for a patient. After the pharm took the call and telephone order, he handed it to me to type. I had to laugh. Pdoc called in a script for himself. I asked pharm if this is allowed. He said in Florida it is. I asked if even controlled were allowed and he said yes, while it would be unethical, it is legal. Wow.

So, I now know a med that pdoc is on, though it is nothing weird or dangerous. I always knew he was a heavy smoker. He would come in from outside smelling like smoke at his old office (the waiting room isn't by the door in his new office) or I would see him, his wife (office manager), and the receptionist all huddled together lit up at the corner of the building. Lol. I guess he wants to stop smoking....he called in a med that is typically used to help people stop. I really didn't like finding out one of pdocs meds, but I guess that is part of working in a pharmacy. When I had my old T before she retired she filled at my CVS too and I had to count her meds quite often and knew every med she was on...that was weird too...but at least pdoc, it was only the one I had to type in.
