Well, in case anyone is interested. I gave it a go. I found all the information I needed online, for free, to do the current 'Simply Filling' plan. This plan encourages 'whole foods' and minimal tracking.
I call total BS. It was still a very low calorie plan. My total calories for the day after stuffing myself with the unlimited veg and fruit allowed, plus the allotted amount of grains and protein came to less than 1400. Uh, no. Unless I wanted to have more fruit and veg or a piece of lean protein, or yet another cup of tea with non-fat milk and artificial sweetner, or no sugar, I could have some chemically sweetened yogurt of jello.
I could not sleep that night for the hunger and the effects of the artificial sweetner. Sure I'd lose weight, but I'd also lose muscle and my energy and my mind. And who could sustain this?
No doubt the regain rates with Weight Watchers are quite high. And no doubt most people blame themselves instead of a plan designed for quick unsustainable weight loss.
No thanks...moving on to something smarter.
