Have you considered going on a healthy diet, one that requires eating multiple times a day (small healthy snacks)? Maybe focusing on a healthy diet that keeps you full without unhealthy calories would be a way to feed the hunger urge without a bunch of empty calories. In our house, we've used the Shred diet a few times because we found it easy to follow, it required several snacks as well as meals AND we actually lost weight while probably eating more than we usually do.
