Hi guys, so 3 weeks ago I saw the psychiatrist & was prescribed oxazepam 30mg for panic/anxiety after minimal success with diazepam. I wasn't really given a choice of medication, he just suggested oxazepam so I said ok you know, nothing to lose everything to gain sort of thing. I've used it 3-4 times now and felt NOTHING. It doesn't help my anxiety or panic at all. We tried anti depressants for anxiety a while back but they just make me manic. As far as I know my only other option Benzo wise would be alprazolam but I don't think my psychiatrist would prescribe it as it's pretty heavily regulated here (Australia , schedule 8 substance of addiction/abuse). We also tried Neulactil for panic/paranoia but I had horrible side effects with little to no benefit.
Is there any other alternatives out there that could be suggested that might help me that will work? I'd give Valium another go but I'd probably need at least 10mgs at a time because 2.5-5 barely touched the sides. TIA guys
