I'm 50. In elementary school, everyone brought in Valentines. They put them all in a big box and the teacher would pull out one at a time and announce who it was for. That kid would come up and get it until the whole box was empty.

It was unbelievable humiliation to watch the pretty, popular kids get all the Valentines and the less than kids get none. Thankfully, I always got at least a few. Some kids got none!
