I'm so sorry. I put my cat to sleep 10 days ago and my other cat to sleep 10 weeks ago. Both were very ill and wouldn't have had a good life but I still miss them, so much.
The loss of a pet is terrible. I hope you are able to grieve and that you can find a place to live where you can have another companion when you are ready.
