I'm in similar straits. I can hardly walk. I'm embarrassed and angry at myself and chock full of self-loathing. And in a great deal of pain.

There are bidets that can be installed on your toilet. It's not the same thing, but they are more affordable and (supposedly) easier to install. I've thought of getting one, too.
