Hi...I have been in a relationship for 16 years...we have two kids together...now, if he doesn't like something, he threatens to take the kids...I don't like how he talks to me in general, if there are actual words exchanged between us even if it was supposed to be a normal conversation. He is a pretty crappy person to us. ...since he knows today is a day off for me...he goes to work and then never comes home....no call, no text, no nothing...the kids ask me where he is, but I have to tell them IDK or I think he is still at work. When he does come home...he takes a bath or sleeps...totally checked out...so now the real issue is that he says he is going to leave and take the kids. Why? Because he didn't like that I got pissed about a house repair because as usual he won't pay for it because it is my house and that this part keeps breaking when I deep clean it...deep clean the mess that he makes...so I said something to effect that you don't even help pay for the house or how about the repair I made to hole in the wall that he punched...who is going to have to paint it too??? Me....of course...because it is my house...and that he likes to steal money from me and doesn't even pay for his car insurance because he has no money but is at work all the time. So he says that he is going to call the police and have the kids stay at some else's house because I was drinking wine...wow...really??? I wasn't even drunk or buzzed...he is the one that is passed out after drinking a half bottle of vodka and 4 beers...I need to know legally what I can do to prevent him from taking the kids...we are not married but uses me as his "wife" when it is in his favor.
