I am 212 and 46 and I have GOT to lose weight. I have been dieting for 1/2 my life and my last diet I just about blew out my discipline. I did a liquid diet and lost 70 lbs but I got stuck. I ate nothing for a year but finally couldn't keep up and gained it all back.
I have been off the reservation for a year or so but really didn't gain anything. But now I am getting older and I am scared for my health. My back hurts... I have fat friends who ended up getting uterine cancer.
Tomorrow I am going to my doctor to ask for drug assistance. When I was younger I took Phentermine and it worked well for appetite control but I didn't like it because it only lasted about 12 to 16 weeks. But I have decided to just try to lose weight for that amount of time... and then ... stop. And try, to normalize my metabolism so that I can eat rather normally and NOT GAIN, and then, say after 9 months or longer... do 16 more weeks.
I am also going to do the gym at work. For years I haven't done that but now I am going to. I found out that my boss won't object if we are down there for longer than our lunch so I can go work out every day practically.
