A few years ago I almost died from the flu. At the hospital(once I was lucid) they explained everything about how close I'd come. I lost it laughing and when they looked horrified I said "I've tried pills,walked into traffic and various other things and the closest I've come to dying is an itty bitty bug that I can't see." They almost ordered a psych hold but to me it's still the funniest thing in the world. SO I totally get the gallows sense of humor.
