Hi all,

I am a 45 year-old new father who has been diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive type) about a year ago.

I have been taking 64mg Concerta in the am and a 15 mg Ritalin when it wears off in the evening.

The meds have been tremendously helpful in the following ways

- More energy
- Higher self-confidence
- When working on the right task and interested, more likely to relentlessly pursue it until completion

However I have found the following to be challenges that I am facing that remain unresolved:

-Marriage suffered. Wife who has anxiety feels I have changed in a negative way, probably due to higher self confidence.
-Often hyperfocus on irrelevant tasks
-When perceived to be under attack, anger and aggression increased. Not uncontrollable or violent but more likely to refuse to back down, especially when I know that I am right about something.
-Still losing and forgetting things and disorganized.

Was wondering if anyone had any feedback or suggestions that could help with this type of stuff. I have thought of trying different meds or possibly seeing someone who specializes in the field. Am skeptical as to whether a coach or CBT would be for me. Thanks in advance for any insight and help you might be able to provide!
