Dad said he got a pretty decent severance package, 60 days and $30,000. He knew taking on the particular job he did at work was risky, and that he might not see two years down the road with the company, but it is what it is. He also said he's eligible for rehire, so he may very well just apply for another position at the same company. I know he's already working on his resume and looking at other job options as well.
