I used to feel the exact same. I know others will tell you "it's exactly the same" and "the drug will work identically".
I totally understand what it is like to want that brand name- it is comforting to have the "big name" that all those cousins or friends seem to be using. It is also a part of being able to say that you are on _____ and not use the unknown generic/chemical name. Almost comforting to say that and be more understood when people say "Oh yeah, my cousin/brother/aunt takes _____ and it is just understood.
I know it is difficult. For a while, I was just really bothered by it and would argue for something specifically a brand name. You need to let it go. Like I am trying with my appearance- nothing can be 100% glamorous, big, perfect, symmetrical or clear. There are flaws and I still struggle to this day, but trying to manipulate everything to be a certain way makes for high anxiety and just plain tiredness.
