I am sorry you are going through this. I don't want to disagree with you but maybe invite you to try to see this from a another perspective. In the US, and due to the American Disability Community, I learned that the most important thing for an independent living is not that you pay all your bills or that you don't need support ever. Living independently means you take the initiative and organize your life. Eventually, you may need support from public agencies and others but still you are in charge. And you have the right to self-determination. It is a basic human right. Income support or personal assistance are snecessary to achieve equal opportunities. Remember, you have the right to self-determination. Please, see the support you are getting as something temporary. Don't let anybody to call you a burden. And remember you have already contributed to society through taxes and so, and you have supported others. In this way our social fabric is made. We need to care one for the other.
