You might have it, but believing that you have it can make you act out the behaviors so it's best to just talk to a professional and see if they give you that diagnosis. But then they will likely be cautious saying you have that because of the risks the label can bring.
It could also help though, knowledge is power.
I don't know that it ever "goes away" for some people. But then for others they claim to have made a full recovery and no longer feel those things. If you are willing to put in work you could at the very least learn to control it and live with it.
