Sorry it didn't work out for you. The prescribing psychiatrist said its a "hit or miss" drug. My current psychiatrist doesn't find it to be effective in general, but he does find the occasional patient it just works for, and I am that one. I have read that it is most effective in combination with an SSRI. I got off all anxiety related meds and was only taking PRN ativan.

A few wks ago, it was to the point I was taking it multiple times daily (pDoc was aware) and I felt I needed to switch back to Buspar as it was more long term. I take 10 mg, 3x a day (along with Celexa and Lamictal), and I have only needed to take the ativan like 2-3 times since i've got back on, and just one pill then.
