If so, is it safe? Can't they hurt you?
On a side note; can DID first appear to an unknowing host in hallucinations and seemingly delusions?

"Summon" sounds very voodoo, lol
How about opening a lines of communication? Have you tried journaling in a notebook? Leaving notes around?
What are things that makes you think that you might have other parts? In our case....we find and read unfamiliar texts and notes....weird clothes that I wouldn't wear, missing memories of our day, people saying things that I don't remember saying or doing, missing or moved objects, ..... Growing up....all this was normal so I really never questioned any of it.
Somethings I remember seeing me doing....but it wasn't "me" doing them.
I can see where one would see or call it a hallucination at first (unknowing or in denial)...thinking that they must be psychotic because of the voices...but DID is not due to any psychotic event.
DID is caused by an early childhood trauma event of which abuse would be the most common, but a lack of child/mom broken or never created can be traumatic to a baby....sexual, mental, physical and emotional abuse is traumatic...anything a baby/toddlers mind can't process such as deaths or accidents....not everyone dissociates, some are more prone too.
Talking to a mental health professional for verification and treatment would be best.
