I don't know how seriously you meant that but avoiding hospitalization is definitely not "Always a good thing." Sometimes it's the only good choice there us. In this case it sounds like they're spending a lot of time and effort to avoid hospital but it doesn't mean they shouldn't consider it if things don't improve quickly.
