I am Lucy and just joined in your forum.
Over the past two weeks for several times a day I had pounding heart beats leaving me anxious and distraught. I even ended up last week at A&E in my local hospital, and have been diagnosed with irregular heartbeat. The cardialogist told me that it is not serious and with time these symptoms should go away. It is all very well but my life has been drastically turned as I cannot do things like before. Yeasterday afternoon after some not too strenuous activities my heart started to play up again. It was so scary that I contacted my medical centre who prescribed me Beta Blockers but feel reluctant to take them as the leaflet describes its side effects. As a result I need another medical opinion prior to taking Beta Blockers. I would be interested to know if there is anyone with similar experiences. Any ideas or advice would be welcome.
