I was thinking that "Oh peekaboo" and laughing, would be a terrific response to someone who is verbally abusing you -- like a neighbor or apartment resident where you live.

My plan for a neighbor who is blaming me for something SHE did, and who is now giving me the silent treatment (will not say these things to her!) 1. I sure don't care -- not everyone has to like me; 2. we weren't close friends,anyway; and 3. go ahead with your delusions and resentment -- it's her problem, not mine. 4, if she decides to say something snippy sometime, I will say, "It's a mixup," and walk way. I'd already invited her to my birthday party, so I will put a reminder invitation on her apt. shelf, like I will for others I've invited.
