I was too old for Sesame Street. I just had Pick Temple and Captain Kangaroo. I loved Pick Temple because one of the kids was chosen at the end of the show every afternoon for a pony ride on stage http://kidshow.dcmemories.com/pick2.html I dreamed about that once when we were traveling somewhere; I'd fallen asleep and when I sort of woke I asked my mother in the front seat "When am I going to be on the radio?". I was only sort of awake :-) I had to wake up further and explain that I wanted to ride Pick Temple's pony. . . That and the original Mickey Mouse Club. Good old 1950s-60s.
