Hello Rahul919: I'm sorry you are experiencing this difficulty. I see you're in India. I'm afraid I don't know anything about how social relationships develop there.

I recall, many decades ago now, when I first started college, I lived at home with my parents. I didn't know anyone at the college. I just drove to my classes & went home. That was it. Once in a while I studied... After a couple of years of this I moved into a dormitory on campus & then finally came to know some other students.

One thing I didn't do, which might have helped, was to have joined some student organizations of one sort or another. Perhaps if there are such things at your college joining one or more of them might help to break the ice, so to speak. Also, since you mention your self-image has taken a hit, if your school has a student counseling center, checking in with them might be beneficial as well. Talking this through with an objective counseling professional may help. Good luck!
