I do. I have an RMR of 1250. I know I had it tested. So with light exercise per day I should be around 1500 calories burned off per day. I am in the very lowest group. I have no metabolic problems such as high blood sugar or PCOS.
I feel this is right because my mother had a similar problem.
I have looked into raising it but
1. I looked into it and the oft cited muscle will increase your metabolism is really wrong. It won't increase it that much. In fact, there is some people that fat people have more muscle when they start dieting because of the weight they carry around.
2. I considered "brown fat" and stimulating my metabolism with cold but I continuously get a head cold when I get cold, under 68 degrees (and they want you to be under 65) all the time.
3. my last hope is coconut oil, but, that has so many calories I can't really eat it when I am dieting.
4. Exercise. I am not sure but I feel like this slow metabolism plays into exercise NOT doing much for me. For instance.. someone who does 60 minutes walking per day with a normal metabolism might burn off 300 cals but I think I burn about 120. Exercise does very little for me in terms of weight loss.
