Hi i have just been on the site for a few days.
I dont like birthdays either, never really have. I have been told on many occasions that because i dont like receiving gifts,( they usually sit for days before i open them), it makes the gift giver feel unappreciated and or disrespected. why is it that feelings seem to get turned over to the ones who are not having them and ours overlooked, its our birthday anyways.Why is it so bad that we dont like to celebrate? Its YOUR birthday and YOUR feelings and that is your gift.
One of my aunts always celebrated her mother on my aunts birthday and gave her a gift to thank her for having her. Maybe you could do something like that if you can. I would take the focus off of you, a redirection of sorts.
