I am long term disability that pays me a big whopping 1000 bucks a month. Even though it is a disability payment, the city always uses the excuse that it is marked third party sick pay. Now, according to the Federal Government. I am disabled but I am still fighting for my SSDI. I have now enrolled the help of my Senator in this process. I want to see in the tax code where they can charge me the 1.5% every year. Yeah it may not seem like much, but it is $180.00 bucks, I have to pay and don`t have, plus I have to pay a 1% school tax of 120.00 bucks on top of that! It is a bunch of crap. Rant over.
