I live with an umbrella cockatoo. She has bitten me a couple of times in the past so now I pretty much just run when I see her. It has gotten to the point in which if I am in the kitchen, my back is never turned from the archway that leads to where she is for more than 2 seconds. I sometimes flinch when I hear my dog right behind me because his claws sound a lot like her claws on tile. She is not a bad bird but I think she has picked up on my fear and now I've made her feel uncomfortable. She now chases me when she sees me and just an hour ago displayed very aggressive behavior outside my shut door. I could call for her owner to get her but I know she will find it annoying to have to bother herself with something like that, hence why I just run away even when I am in the middle of something. Haven't finished twisting the tie, too bad. You only gave your dog one scoop of food? Tough out of luck kid. It is even worse because when her owner is out of town I am pressured into taking care of her which leads to me crying every day because I have to stick my arm less than a foot away from her. The owner know that this happens as well. I am fine with most other birds except for large ones now, even chickens. I have no idea what to do. I just get more afraid every day.
