I have a small mouth and very sharp teeth so you have my utmost sympathy. At the adult shops here they sell something called Head Candy. It's made out of the stuff gummy bears are made out of and you can push it down over your teeth. It's kinda strawberry flavored so it also helps with taste.

I have never tried it but a friend uses dental wax to put over her teeth.
