My first pdoc was more about pushing meds than anything I think. He knew quite a bit, but I just didn't feel like he was listening to me. My first t was an old crotchety woman who I'm sure meant well, but we just didn't click. Having her tell me I needed AA was essentially the straw that broke the camels back. I love my current pdoc and t. They really do take time to listen, even with their time constraints. I also like that I can call them whenever and will typically get a call back the same day, or at least within 24 hours. Even though I've done lots of research on my own, I still feel that my pdoc and t are more in tune with BP and other MIs than I ever could be.
