I don't live with my parents and love them very much but they still both like to tell me how to go on sometimes - it has driven me crazy in the past. My mother once told me how to tie my laces, my dad recently told me to stop rubbing my eye

I just told them I am 45 and big enough to make my own choices. Same for you, no need to run and hide.
