I have become oversensitive to how my body is feeling. I think it has something to do with anxiety, but I am overly sensitive to the muscle tension in my neck and head. I am focused on every little sensation and get worried about the tension, fueling my anxiety. I need to just stop thinking about it, but I can't seem to do it on my own. I am hoping to start seeing a counselor about it. I imagine this is what it's like for some people with pain. Constantly thinking about the pain probably makes it feel worse.
Anyone have any advice or been through anything similar?
