Currently in the middle of a Conversion Disorder episode.

CD (now renamed Functional Neurological Disorder [FND] in the DSM-5) is rare psychogenic neurological disorder, classified under somatoform disorders. Psychological (or physiological) triggers/stress induce the manifestation of inorganic neurological symptoms. The symptoms are thought to be the "conversion" of psychological stress to neurological symptoms.

During CD episodes, I have a higher likelihood manic/hypomanic symptoms. It's more so the depressive/incredible anxiety/panic symptoms that are "converted," which is the supposed theory for what happens.

Kind of between euthymia and manic right now. Odd.

Symptoms (my poor bastard boyfriend deals with this):
-more spastic mental breakdowns
-paranoia
-more irritability
-significantly higher desire for social activity
-worsening ADHD symptoms despite my ADHD meds typically working
-higher productivity
-wanting to do ALL of the things ALL at once (multi-tasking and picking up random tasks, some from previous manic episodes)
-not sleeping much (and then crashing, then not sleeping—cyclical)
-higher incidence of active suicidal ideation (odd one)

Currently experiencing these, simultaneously or alternating, with CD symptoms.
