The part about emotional flashback caught my breath. I've tried to explain to my counselor how it feels when my h unleashes his anger on me. There it was in black and white. It was a perfect narrative of it in words from someone else. I can not tell you the freedom and sadness I felt when I read it. Validation. Truth. It's real. It's what I know.
